Peerless Chain Load Binders have special hook construction that supports the load of the chain and will not bind. Load binders are heat treated and proof tested with forged heat treated hooks. Chains and binders meet all DOT, CVSA & CMTA requirements. The Working Load Limit is permanently marked on handle. Chain binders feature special links with controlled flash welds and are painted with yellow, powder coat enamel.

Chain & Load Binder Requirements

Chain and Load Binder Specifications chart is a guide to meet the basic minimum current in-service requirements in accordance with the FMCSA and the DOT for G70 transport chain. This table lists the minimum number of chain assemblies required to secure a load per DOT, CVSA and CCMTA Transport chain meets Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and NACM Specification. DO NOT EXCEED CAPACITY! 

Calculating the minimum number of Tie-Downs depends on the cargo length, cargo weight and cargo type. The sum of the working load limits from all Tie-Downs must be at least 50% of the weight of the cargo. Calculating the feet of domestic Grade 70 transport chain (NACM) depends on the cargo length, cargo weight and cargo type.
